Ajay Katyal is a highly experienced professional with over two decades of experience in strategic planning, product marketing, and key account management across various industries, including, air-conditioning, heating, building management systems, industrial equipment, and specialty chemicals.
Currently, Ajay is the strategic marketing leader at Honeywell, responsible for driving growth for the $100M refrigerants and specialty chemical business in the META region. He leads functional and regional alignment to the key strategic initiatives, based on business intelligence to identify advantageous opportunities. He is executing the localization strategy to drive local investments and partnerships in the region. Sustainability and circular economy are the areas that excite him the most.
Ajay advocates the decarbonization of heating and cooling of commercial and residential buildings, industrial processes and food supply chains. He believes that there is huge untapped potential in the emerging mid-market segments and digital tools can help serve these segments much efficiently and swiftly. He has launched and deployed digital platforms as foundational part of his Go-to-Market strategy for the mid-market segment in his work sphere.
Prior to his current role, Ajay worked with Emerson Climate Technology for over nine years, where he drove the marketing strategy for the refrigeration business unit in the Middle East and Africa region. He led new product development and introduction based on regional market requirements and strategic intent. He also optimized the bottom-line by managing the product portfolio through strategic portfolio analysis, SKU rationalization, and margin enhancement.
Ajay holds a Master of Business Administration Cum Laude from the prestigious London Business School, with a focus on strategy and finance. With his extensive experience, strategic thinking, and analytical skills, Ajay is a valuable asset to any organization.
